Faux Suede with Gelatos

Gelato Background

Gelato Background

Hi All,

Today I’m back up over on the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft blog! I created this faux-suede look with Gelatos, some water, and an embossing folder.

Okay, yes, I know the trees are in grass and not snow. I think green looks more colorful, plus my Christmas is almost always green here in Dallas, lol!

Anyway, to see step by step photos and the supply list, visit my post over there. Also see the video below.

I have something really special planned for my next guest design day, which is THIS SATURDAY, November 10th! Come back to see – it’s not a card. 😉

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft just made their call for the next set of guest designers! If you are interested in applying, check it out HERE.

We are in North Florida so our outdoor Christmas trees are displayed on a blanket of grass too. I love the suede effect you created with this card. Add Gelatos to my Christmas list, Santa!

I was so excited to see a video from you today on Monday! What a bonus! Love the faux suede look….I bought some Gelatos the other day but haven’t broken them out yet!
Love the card and how it all came together. Very nice!

A great video on Monday!!!!! that is indeed a bonus, Darlene!! I’m really thankful you use all kinds of products from different companies to make your cards. That opens an entire horizon of ideas and inspiration for us. I hate to think I’m limited to just one company’s products to make cards, it would be like always using just one color on our projects, now that would be boring.
Anyway, thank you for another wonderful video.

Cute, cute and more cute! And so fun to watch you. I’m gong to pull out my gelatos tonight and try this. Thanks again. You started my week off with a smile.

I’m so inspired watching you create with those gelatos that I really need to put them on my Christmas list. Love the card and the background looks really effective.
