Hi All!
I love popups, so when I saw the Hillside Pop-ups, I had to try them out. So fun! It looks really sophisticated, but it’s incredibly easy to assemble. The time-consuming part was stamping and coloring all the animals. By the way, I kept calling the stamp set “From the Herd” in the video, but it’s actually “The Whole Herd” – I get those two names confused! There are three layers in the popup. Here is a view from the top:
Here is a close-up of the coloring:
And the horse holding the balloon:
Enjoy the video!

Thanks for coming up with this clever card. It looks quite achievable too!

I love this card!!! I’m going to try making it with the regular pop up dies and the Mama Elephant border dies! I hope it works!. Thanks Darlene for another great idea!

What a cute and fun card Darlene! I love how you did your horse with the balloon, too cute. Love all the animals inside as well. Just a fun and super cute card! Hugs, Brenda

So adorable! Love the pop up feature of the card. Thank you for the great ideas!

So fun! So you saw my card yesterday – I have to ask! Do you think it’s worth the investment to buy this die for the convenience?
Darlene DeVries
It is a little pricey. If you’re just going to make one card with it, I think it wouldn’t be worth it. But, if you’re making multiple, then yes. I don’t think you could easily re-create it exactly without the die, but you could probably achieve something similar with some time and effort.

Love this card! Thanks for another great idea!

Another darling Darlene card! I, too, wonder if I’d get enough use from the pop up die. I’m pretty sure I could do it without, but it has that stitching detail and it Is a lot easier. Decisions, decisions. LOL!

Sweet, adorable card Darlene, love the dimension you got from those dies.
I have this stamp set and I love it, this little farm animals are just to cute.
The dies are indeed expensive but, if you think you’ll use them often, they are worth the price. Another item added to my ever growing wish list, tough decisions to make, 🙁
Hugs,
Maria.

I don’t think it’s possible for that card to be any cuter!!! I love it! It looks so complicated, would never have guessed it could be that easy. LOVE it!
