Gourd Goodness

Gourd Goodness

Hi All!

Quick announcement: Simon Says Stamp is having 20% off all Hero Arts products, now through Friday. I think this one is worth checking out! Use code HASS623 at checkout.

I love, love this Gourd Goodness set by Stampin’ Up!. I don’t make a lot of Fall cards, but I got this stamp set anyway because it’s so realistic! I added a little bit of my own detail with a Copic marker to make it even more eye-catching. Here is a close-up of the pumpkins:

Fall was my favourite time of year in the US. I miss it most of all because where I live in Australia our Autumn is very short and there are few deciduous trees nearby that change colour. Also pumpkins are not used as often for decorative purposes. So this card was very special for that reason.

I LOVE this stamp set and got it when I could pre-order. I love all things fall and leaves – but I’m not into Halloween much. Our fall cards season is too short for me, even though we get a good couple months of colorful leaves here in Illinois. Sadly, we have 90 degrees forecast for the next few days! I’d prefer crisp cool air with the colored leaves, but people have worse weather, so I’m not going to complain much!!

Ohh!! Love those pumpkins, they look so real with all the layers of color.
Beautiful card Darlene, thank you for sharing.

Wow–those pumpkins DO look realistic!!! I’m glad you added the shading with the YR marker, though, especially to put the smaller pumpkin in front of the larger. Really helps add to the dimensional look. Great card design overall. Hope y’all are having a great week so far! 🙂 ~ Andrea

I love fall cards and yours is beautiful. I was in the process of making one for the challenge and then realized the challenge was for the three holidays, not the season. Oh well, maybe we’ll have a fall season challenge next year.

Wow, these pumpkins look so real eh??? Love the card! Our leaves here in Nova Scotia are just starting to change and it makes fall my favourite season too! Although it’s supposed to be 30C this weekend because of Hurricane Jose but I think he will miss us completely as far as the storm goes…phew. 😎
