Hi All,
Today I’m using a new photopolymer clear set by Stampin’ Up! called Flower Patch. I absolutely love this set – it comes with 19 different stamps! You can layer a lot of the pieces, which gives it a lot of potential. When I saw it, I knew I had to use this technique with it. I used the ghost stamping technique on THIS CARD about a year ago.
I usually use Stampin’ Up!’s Crumb Cake cardstock (their version of kraft). However, I decided to try Hero Arts kraft cardstock. For this technique, I tried it on both cardstocks and I like the Hero Arts one slightly better. It’s darker, more like a brown bag than Stampin’ Up!’s cardstock. However, the Hero Arts cardstock is not as heavy-weight (it’s 65lb). For layering, it’s great. However, I will stick with Stampin’ Up! for a kraft-colored card base.
Hope you enjoy. Have a great week!

Well what can say but another awesome card for any occasion. Darlene, you are one of my favorites to watch in creating your cards and give me ideas when I can’t think of a great design, thanks again!

I am fairly new to card making (about a year now!) and have not tried this technique. I will need to give it a go! You always make things look so easy Darlene! Thanks so much for sharing!!

What a fun card and technique. Love how you cut your card front apart and put the sentiment in between….cool look.

What a great technique…gives such a pretty look! Looks like a fun one to try.
I have some inks that stain the Stampamajig acetate sheet, too, but I found that rubbing alcohol cleans it all up pretty well. I don’t worry about the staining on my stamps, though…alcohol on the stamps can dry them out, I hear…but probably is fine for that acetate sheet.

I liked it VERY much. Thank you!

This is such a lovely card – unusual color combo . My first instinct was to buy this great stamp set – then I saw the price – USA $25.95 – AUSTRALIA $44.95 – I live in Australia and the price is crazy – I guess I will just have to dream . Such a great stamp set.

Great card Darlene. Can’t wait to give this technique a go.

Hi Darlene, I love this technique on Kraft …and you made it POP with this set from SU. I was reading your comments tonight, and saw that the pricing for my Aussie friend’s purchasing this set is DOUBLE! Yowzers, I thought our Canadian prices were high, until I read this price…sooo sorry for you Gail!

I love this technique but you must have a very steady hand and practice a bit, it also helps to put a little snail on your card front when you’re stamping the ghost image otherwise it wont look right.
Thank you for another wonderful video, you really inspire us to try new things to fully enjoy this craft we all love even more.
