Fun Friday Collabo, Week 4!

May 24

Happy Friday!!

Wow, I can’t believe we are already on week 4! Where has May gone?? The kids are getting out of school and there goes my card-making time!

For my collaboration with Jill Foster today, we are using Penny Black’s Every Happiness. There are so many stamps in this set that I had a hard time choosing. Here’s my card for this week:

Fun Friday

And a little close-up on the embossed and colored flowers:
Fun Friday

I decided to keep it pretty simple. I used Hero Arts Soft Granite Shadow Ink to stamp the image multiple times down the center. I then black embossed the same image, watercolored it with a Fushia Inktense Pencil, then cut it out to adhere it. I’ve used this watercolor technique a few times recently, such as on this card and this card. Can you tell I love these pencils?

Luckily, May has five Fridays this year, so we still have one more to go! Don’t forget that Jill and I will be featuring YOUR cards on our blogs June 7th. To be considered, create your own card with the same set we are using and upload it to the Penny Circle Flickr gallery. Be sure to tag it with “JillDarlene”.

Now, head on over to Jill’s blog to see what she has created with Every Happiness. She has such a great style so don’t miss it!

Have a wonderful weekend!

This is so lovely and I just wanted to let you know how much I liked it! I like the look created by the inktense pencils and though I have a set of watercolor pencils I may need to get some of these.

Oh my – what a gorgeous card. I love the “negative” row in contrast with the vibrant inktense blooms. Your talent never fails to amaze . . .
Have a safe & enjoyable holiday weekend!

Amazing that the two of you used the same stamp set and the looks are so different. I love versatility!! This is beautiful. Reminds me to get out my Inktense pencils and play.
