Hi All!
I was going through my stamps and came across this one: Fractile Leaves. I haven’t used it in awhile so I thought I would break it out. I’ve used it in the past on this card and this card.
For today’s card, I decided to make it into a flower. I have a little trick for making sure the leaves line up correctly (shown in the video). Here is a close-up of my coloring:
Enjoy the video and have a great weekend!

This is definitely a Darlene card! So clean and simple but yet so very striking. I was wondering though why you chose different shades of green and aqua for the flower. Whatever the reason, I liked the colour combination a lot too.

I love blue and green together and since they are actually leaves, I thought it would be a nice leaf/petal combo color.

Thanks Darlene. I had flower rather than leaves in my head but it is a very effective colour combo whatever it is meant to be!

This IS a Darlene card….putting the black strips on either side! Love it!

The colours and symmetry really stand out on your card, I think your circle tip will be very useful.

Very beautiful and endless color combinations.

I can see your analytical mind at work in the stamping & coloring of the leaves! I never would have thought to count the sections in the image. I have often tried to “wing it” with coloring images like that with lots of little sections, but have–on occasion–either had too few colors to create a “random” pattern (without have 2 adjacent sections the same color), or just didn’t plan well enough so that the colors ended up distributed well. I even once had to draw in an extra line on an image to make 2 more sections, because my colors weren’t landing right. Ah, the trials & tribulations of a card maker! LOL Anyway, I really love how your card came out, Darlene! Great color combo, and thank you for the stamping tips. I probably would have had pencil lines all over the place, just to line things up. 😛 Nice to see an easier way! Hope y’all have a wonderful holiday weekend! 😺 ~ Andrea

Beautifully geometric leaves Darlene, I think they would look amazing in Autumn colors.
Love the perfect symmetry on your design, the black strips on either side are a fabulous detail.
Have a wonderful weekend.

I have that stamp and have never used it!!! What a creative and beautiful way to do so. Darlene you never cease to amaze!! Sometimes I look at all the measurements and counting and think in my head how/would I ever do that??? And then I look at your end project and say to myself “THAT’S why all her stuff looks impeccable – girlfriend (that would be me) learn a lesson why don’t you??!!!!”
Thanks for showing me the right way to do things!

I love this card Darlene. As a matter of fact, my kitchen is in these colours. Green glass splashback and blue accessories with all white large drawers. My favourite colours. A really lovely stamp set.
