Hi All!
I’m sure most of you will either hate or love this card. F$@# is not part of my vocabulary, but teenagers think it’s a very useful and expressive word. The card is for my daughter, and I know she will get a huge kick out of it. She just finished her junior year in high school (not a fun year), so I wanted to create something special for her.
I was sitting on the couch killing time on my phone (I hate when I do that), and I saw this stamp set by WPlus9. As soon as I saw that sentiment, I jumped off the couch and went right to work. I can’t believe how many times I have used Seamus Sheep… check out this card, this card, this card, and this card.
I colored their fur with Copic markers. Here is a close-up:

You must let us know how your daughter reacted to this card. I’m sure she loved it though. What teenager wouldn’t love such a special card from their Mom?! This sheep stamp set is adorable. Since I bought i some time ago, I must make this card but use a big Happy Birthday die instead of the sentiment you used. My friends would not appreciate that sentiment as much as your daughter would. Ha! Ha! The sheep looked so realistic too. I’ll definitely try that technique. It isn’t all that difficult to do but sure is effective.

Love it!!! And you finally cleared up my confusion, since I had no idea what the “flock” part of that type of greeting was “supposed” to mean. LOL Yeah–I live a sheltered and very out-of-it life! 😛 I love how you colored the letters AND the sheep. The sheep’s wool just looks so fluffy. F$@# is a word the epitomizes succinct expression!! I myself found it quite useful over the years! And always used it to advantage! I think now that I am SOOOO much more circumspect (as if) I can use FLOCK in the same way! FLOCK YEAH!!!
Oh and the card is adorable!!!!!

As a 75 y.o. I think I have “missed the boat” with what on earth F$@# and Flock Yeah! means. Could somebody “Please Explain”!!!! The card itself is gorgeous – love it Darlene. Can’t believe your eldest daughter is 17.

Hi Glenis. Not sure how to explain this exactly. F$@# is the “F” curse. When you add “yeah!” to it, it changes the “yeah!” to a resounding “yeah!”. 🙂

How hilarious!!!! My daughter will love this! Great coloring and humor! Thanks Darlene! (My daughter is one year older than yours, lol. We substitute swear words all the time as part of our humor, flummery is one of more used words as well as dagnabit!) This will be a big hit!

I am expecting to get flamed for this, but if the word is not part of your vocabulary, even though most of the world seems to think it as innocuous as “hello”, why would you make a card that highlights it? I find it so sad that we can find no other words to express ourselves but that one. Also, very sad that parents find it acceptable to use and to let their children use. I know I am out of step, but face it the word is disgusting and one would think that as a society we allow it. Regardless of who says the word, it obviously is somewhat still unacceptable because it is bleeped from most media sources. Sorry, just my humble opinion
