Happy Monday All!!
A few weeks ago, Catherine Pooler contacted me about doing a “finish my card” collaboration. I am so excited and honored to work with her on this project! Here’s how it works…
We decided that each of us would create an embellishment with sentiment and snail-mail it to the other person (I’m in Texas and she is in North Carolina). We would then finish each other’s card by creating the base and background.
Today is part 1, where I create the embellishment and Catherine finishes the card. Part 2 will take place on Wednesday, when Catherine will create the embellishment and I will finish the card. I must say that this is kind of a challenging project when you are combining styles on a single card! I’m so excited to be doing this though – it’s good to get out of your comfort zone. 🙂
And believe it or not, as I post this, I have no idea what she’s done – I can’t wait to see!
Alright, so here we go with my creation of the embellishment. A few little fortune cookies:
There will be a direct link to Catherine’s video at the end of my video, or you can scroll down below for a link to her blog post. Enjoy!
So are you ready to see what the finished card looks like? Me too! Head on over the Catherine’s Blog to see.

Oh WOW!! Darlene, what a fun and fabulous idea. I love the way you did this cookies but that tip for the sentiment was a knock out!! How very super clever. I went to see Catherine’s part and the card looks amazing. This is a wonderful new feature on your blog, we will be showered with tons of ideas from two amazing and creative ladies.
