Hi All,
I’m doing something new today – outlining and coloring embossed cardstock. It’s actually pretty easy to do, and the clean and simple look of the rest of the card really makes a great visual impact. Here is a close-up:
I used the same markers to color the sequins so that they match perfectly. I LOVE this little Moonshine Sequin pack.
Enjoy the video and have a great weekend!

This card is so chic – that’s the only word I can use to describe it. I like the green Copic colours you selected and the entire effect. I’m just going to have to get this embossing folder and try it!

Simply beautiful! I have recently been overthinking the sequins with which side faces up on the card. So silly, but I don’t think it matters – personal preference. I love the moonshine sequins packet also.

What a cleaver idea. Now I am going to have to look at all my embossing folders!

Another great card Darlene. I’m going to have to check out my embossing folders too. Hopefully I have one I can use this technique with.

Love this idea Darlene, I will have to go through my folders as well! Question…how did you get the nice little “knob” on your pick me up stick?
darlene
Not sure, Carol. It keeps getting smushed. You can push more sticky stuff out by twisting the knob.

Very cool card Darlene! I love that technique you used and will have to have a look through my own folders to see what could be used. Hugs, Brenda

Cute card. Like the simplicity.

Just partway through your video chat, and if this card is an example of what you come up with when you’re having a design “block”, then don’t worry at all! Love the card and this particular embossing folder is perfect, but as others have said, I’ll be looking through all my folders with this technique in mind. Love the green colour combo as well, and really appreciate that you tell us the specifics about colour choices, etc.

I really like this card but I don’t have a die cutter or anything that uses an embossing folder so I can’t make this. I like how it looks though. I like how you did the different shades of green and how the sequins matched the leaves. It reminds me of the 60’s and I don’t know why. Great job!

What a fun technique! Your card is lovely. Time to search through my stash of embossing folders…

So I tried this one, Darlene, on a day when I needed to sit and do something very calm. It was fun but a little tense until I got the feel of it. My leaf pattern had little bumps in it so it was a little hard to go smoothly. But I loved it in the end. Thanks.
darlene
Hi Patty. So glad you tried it and liked it! It does take a little practice until you get the feel, as you say. But, I love the results. I’m sure yours looks beautiful, as all your cards that I have seen do!
