Hi All!
I used the Zig watercolor markers on the flower today – I just love how vibrant they are! I double embossed and did some resist on this card, similar to what I did on THIS CARD while back.
Here is a closeup of the second embossing, which I did over the flower:
Enjoy the video and have a great weekend!

Fantastic! This is the birthday card I’m making tomorrow for an elderly relative who lives in the US. It will be just perfect for her. I don’t have the Remarkable You stamp set from Stampin Up but I do have several other stamp sets that are similar. I love the double embossing with the Hero Arts Flourish stamp which I own but have never used in this way. Problem solved, thanks to you!

Glad I could help, Connie! 🙂

Oh Darlene, I need to get a pad of Tumbled Glass, it’s such a lovely shade of blue.
Beautiful flower, love the intensity of the colors you used on it, makes if really pop!!
Now, call me ignorant but I didn’t know that the Versa Fine ink could be used to heat emboss!! I love how it’s very dark black, love it, I’m getting one of this ink pads as well.
I wanted to ask you if you have ever shared your favorite distress ink color list, I know you have a Copic list of your favorite markers but I was wondering if you have any of this ink pads that you like best.
Thank you for this awesome video.
Darlene DeVries
I do have a list of favorites! It’s on the My Favorite Things page, under inks.

Darlene, what a beautiful card and love the technique as well. I have a question, why didn’t rub off the ink after you did the emboss resist? Just curious. Again thank you.
Dottie 🙂
Darlene DeVries
Hi Dottie. I’m not sure I understand the question. Do you mean rub off the blue ink from the clear swirls? If so, there really wasn’t any ink to rub off. Or, do you mean color over the flower and then take it off with maybe water or something like that?

Beautiful!

Very Elegant! I love how the flower pops . The “Remarkable You” stamp set is on my wish list.

Hi there Darlene, i love your card today. The double embossing is lovely. I had two questions for you. The first is: is the canson mixed media paper a pure white or is it off white? The second question is: do you think i could do this technique and then laminate the front sheet? I am making laminated sheets for my planner and i don’t want to wreck the embossing after I spend so much time. Thanks in advance, hugs, treen
Darlene DeVries
The Canson mix media paper is much whiter than all of the other watercolor paper I have, with the exception of the Ranger watercolor paper (which to me is a very bright white). I’m not sure about the laminating. You might get a small bubble around the embossed areas because they are raised up. Maybe try laminating a small sample to see how it works?

thanks so much. this really helps

Very nice! I never thought of adding the second emboss. It really makes your card classy.

This may have been asked before, and if so, I apologize. I’m wondering why I keep needing to log in even tho I’ve clicked the “remember me” button.
Andrea
As I understand it (& I may be wrong), the “remember me” button only tells the site (LLC, in this case) to remember your computer, probably with cookies. (Internet cookies–not the fattening kind! LOL) But it doesn’t keep you logged in. HTH!
Darlene DeVries
Hi Elyse. This question gets asked periodically, so I created a help question for it.
