A quick note: Stampin’ Up! released its retirement list this week (see links in the News section to the right). I realized that you can view pictures of all the stamps here. Not sure when that happened, but it’s very helpful! There is also a color revamp in the new catalog. The following colors are retiring (and will be replaced by new ones, some of which are returning in-colors): Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, Elegant Eggplant, Island Indigo, Marina Mist, Perfect Plum, Pink Pirouette, Rose Red, Soft Sky, Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise, Wild Wasabi, and Wisteria Wonder. So, get your refills while you can. Okay, now for the card….
When I start a card, I generally pick the products I want to use and go from there. This time, I decided to use the Altenew Cube Builder stencil (which I used on these cards). This card is so simple, yet I think it’s one of my favorites. I really wish Stampin’ Up! wouldn’t have retired this stamp and punch set. Here is a close-up:
Enjoy the video!

What a unique card, Darlene.Your designs are so clean and simple with a punch every time (smile)! I too am sorry these wonderful butterflies and coordinating punches have retired some time ago but am so glad I got them when I did. Your card reminds me that I haven’t used them in a while, so I must do so again soon.

Great card. Love the geometric clean but elegant look/

The way you used the stencil is so cool, Darlene! Love the look you got–great way to stretch your supplies. Even though I’m not much for monochromatic looks myself, I really like this card. The blacks & greys go so well with the modern CAS look of your design. Tfs! 😺 ~ Andrea

Darlene, from the looks of the SU website, they are retiring almost all of the sets of ink colours, like brights, suttles, neutrals…even Real Red and Melon Mambo!!! They must be introducing a lot of new colours!!! Anyway, I love the card and I agree with Andrea, I am not a monochromatic fan, but I like this card. 😎

Great card Darlene! I love the clean contemporary look and feel. You can’t go wrong with those butterfly stamps/punches. I will be adding the sprinkles to my wish list!

I love that stencil, it looks amazing the way you used on this card. And of course, those butterflies are beautiful no matter what ink you use, so sad they retired this set.
Fabulous card, elegant and one of the best examples of the Monochromatic look.
Thank you for sharing.

This my favorite video today as I play catch up. I love anything black and white, and I’ll never get rid of all my papillon stuff. I have different stencils that could work to case this. 🙂
