Hi All!
Today’s card is pretty simple. I used the Just Kidding set again but with a different sentiment. There are so many funny ones by Riley & Company at Simon Says Stamp. I wanted to get all of them!
The card itself is pretty easy to make. Some Copics and patterned paper. I just purchased the new paper pads by Avery Elle – the Jewel Collection and the Neutral Collection. I really think these papers will make nice, clean backgrounds.
Anyway, enjoy the video and come back Monday for the April Challenge!!

I love Riley & Co stamps. I’m sure the other folks in the store think I’m crazy as I stand there reading and giggling hysterically. I’ve bought a few, but wish I could afford the entire line!

Love the card….so true!
I’m glad to see you are using patterned paper these days. When I first got into scrapbooking and card making a few years ago I wasn’t really sure what I was doing and bought all sorts of patterned paper. Now that I only make cards I don’t really use it. So now I have stacks of the stuff and don’t know what do with! Hopefully as you use it I will get some ideas. Thanks for sharing all your great cards!

The same exact thing happened to me Mary Jane. I’ve got tons of it. I do use them a lot for photo backdrops when taking pictures of my cards. I’ve even got them stacked by “to the kids”, “mostly useless”, “sort of useless”, and “maybe”. haha.

Too funny! Hopefully one day I will be able to get rid of some of it!

Great stamp set… I had it on my shopping cart yesterday, but decided to get some clearance items… now wish I had kept it! haha

Very cute card! I love that you leave your mistakes in the video because I can’t count the number of times I’ve done this myself! Just yesterday, in fact, with my mom’s Easter card. Lol.

Love the way you used the little strips with popped up panels.

Funny. Love funny cards.

Love the card. Hoe true.
Betty
How not Hoe, sorry

Great card. I love the sentiment because it is so true lol

Very cute and a great way to use up those little strips of colour after using a border punch or trimming down a 12 x 12 page a little. I’m so used of cutting a full piece for the background colour that I don’t think to do that.

Super funny card, this little gal looks really spunky and she can say pretty much anything and get that message across. This words are so darn true, Pinterest is almost impossible to resist, I can sit for hours if I had my way but I have an alarm clock in my craft room and, when my time is up, I just peel away from there otherwise I would not had anything else done. I do the same when I’m making cards and coloring, or surfing the blogs, my time is almost up this morning, LOL!!
Thank you for sharing Darlene, watching you create your cards is a treat and I love the fact that you DO NOT EDIT your posts, to show us how little mistakes can be corrected.
I wish for you and your family a very happy Easter weekend.
Hugs.

Happy Easter to you too Maria. I like your idea of an alarm clock. I will try using the alarm clock on my phone to keep me on schedule.
Beau
Using an alarm clock is genius! Haha that is just too funny because we all are addicted to it and need pintrest rehab!

Love those funny stamps!! Cute card, thanks for sharing Darlene! =)

Darlene – laughed out loud at this sentiment. So true! Love what you did with these images. Hope you had a great weekend.
Thanks for sharing!

Darlene, have you tried the Scotch 3M foam tape? You know the one that is the mega roll everyone uses? It is a great price on Amazon, about $24 for a huge roll that lasts forever and it is really good about not setting until you push it down and let it set for a few mins. So if you see that you have missed something that you need to pull it up, most of the time the foam tape is still usable and comes up rather nicely. You can get a smaller roll at Target in their little itty bitty craft section for about $7 if you just want to try it out. It is also great for smaller images because you can cut, or tear, it as small or big as you want to.
Anyway, fabulous card, so hilarious because it is so true, I left a comment above on the alarm clock that I thought was genius. Hope you had a fabulous Easter and look forward to your next card. I love your work 🙂

Ok Beau – I put it on my Target list. I’ll report back!
Beau
Just be aware that it isn’t as thick as the Stampin’ Up foam tape but I think if you double up, it is the same thickness. Also, at first it will feel like it isn’t going to hang on, but once it is set, it isn’t coming off. Kind of like Ranger’s Multi Matte Medium, it doesn’t seem like anything is going to stick to it but is probably one of the strongest glues out there once it is dry lol. So just don’t give up on it if it isn’t stuck down super tight in the first couple of mins. 🙂

Thanks Beau! I ended up getting it on Amazon Prime as an add-on item and it should be here tomorrow.
Beau
I hope you like it and if you do, you can get a big mama roll on Amazon for like $24 which is like about half as much as they sell it on SSS or EH. I bought mine a few months ago and you can’t even tell it’s been used lol.
Darlene DeVries
Beau, I love it. I bought the small roll as a test. The big roll is on my list to buy! By the way, I’m mentioning you in one of my videos next week. You gave me an awesome tip that needs to be shared!
