Hi All,
Simon Says Stamp has come out with a new release today called Sending Sunshine. This stamp, Center Cut Fancy Flower, is part of the release.
The middle of the stamp comes out, similar to the Center Cut Flower stamp I used on this card. So, I was able to stamp the two pieces in different colors. I then reversed the coloring. Here is a close-up:

This card reminds me of the kaleidoscopes that I played with as a child. I wonder if they still have them for kids these days. I really like these new centre cut stamps that SSS has introduced. This one is perfect for masculine cards while the flower one is great for feminine cards. I loved the colours you chose too. I’ve been having problems getting good coverage with my white gel pens. So I plan to get one of the Uni gel pens that you used. It seems to work well. Thanks for always coming up with new ideas to inspire us! Hope too your week is going well.

Connie, I’ve also used the Uni-Ball white gel pens. One of the keys to getting good coverage (imo) is to keep using it frequently. The ink seems to dry up more quickly in the pen if you don’t use it often. Not sure why–and it is annoying–but there you go. I’ve heard this same thing from other people, so I know it’s not just my bad luck. I’ve had a love-hate relationship with mine, especially since I can’t just run to a local store and pick up a new one without having to order, wait, AND pay shipping. One other kind you might want to try (I haven’t yet, so can’t speak for it personally) is the Sakura Gelly Roll. They come in different tip widths now, and the widest (#10 bold) seems to be about like the Uni-Ball. Simon Says Stamp has a 3-pack: https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Sakura-CLASSIC-WHITE-Gelly-Roll-Bold-Point-Pens-Set-of-3-57453-57453?currency=USD. That should show you what I’m talking about. Like I said, no personal experience with that particular one, but the Gelly Roll pens I do have seem to hold up well. Hope this helps! 😺 ~ Andrea

Thanks Andrea! This is invaluable information and I really appreciate that you took the time to share it with me!

LOVE this!!!

I love how this card came out, Darlene! I’m not much of a one for neutral color palettes (love me some bright colors!), but this one looks very soothing. Even with the flower in the center, it looks like a pretty masculine design, at least with the black/white/kraft color combo. Hope your week is going well–thanks for sharing this! 😺 ~ Andrea

I just love this card Darlene. It reminds me of our Australian Indigenous art that I like and find interesting. I love the neutral colour scheme on this card also. Looks like another “must have” stamp. I have already checked out the Uni gel pen and I will also check out the Sakura gel pen. Thanks Andrea for that information.

Love the Neutral color of your card base, I think it lets the white embossing and coloring of this image shine beautifully.
I’m getting a couple of Uni Gel Pens, mine are old and dry already. I wonder if there is anything we can do to prevent the ink inside from drying out, I always keep mine with their caps and upside down so I don’t understand why they dry out fairly quickly.
Thank you for sharing this fabulous video.
