CAS Bacon and Eggs

CAS Bacon and Eggs

Hi All!

Sometimes I find it hard to create a quick card – I tend to labor the design too much. This design is so easy and very repeatable. Neutral pattern on top, objects over it, and sentiment directly beneath. My objects are the bacon and eggs from the Breakfast Buddies set, but you could use literally anything… animals, a bird, a box of popcorn… whatever you have!

I don’t particularly like TOO much white space. I love, however, covering part of the white space with some very light, neutral paper. I usually place my objects in the white area, but this time I put them on the paper. If you’re going to do that, it’s important to use paper that won’t take the focus away from your objects – keep it subtle.

Here is a close-up of my coloring and the pattern on my paper:

I would never have selected this stamp set but both your cards using it have been so cute. I especially liked how you coloured the bacon with your Copics. It was very realistic looking. As a minimalist csrdmsker that likes to keep things clean and simple, this card really appealed to me.

That patterned paper reminds me of my grandmother’s old Formica topped kitchen table- perfect choice for “breakfast”

I know that Formica table. We had a similar one at our home. Must’ve been very popular at one time!

I love the clean crispness of this one. How cute that there are tiny wee faces on the bacon and eggs.
