Bottom Flowers

Bottom Flowers

Hi All,

I’m here with another card in the spirit of the June Bottom-Heavy Challenge. Honestly, this challenge is kind of easy, so I encourage you to try it!!

I used the inside piece of the Center Cut Flowers stamp by Simon Says Stamp. I used the outside piece of this stamp on this card. The flowers are colored with Zig Watercolor Markers, which give it a very subtle blend of blue and purple. I colored, cut, and popped up some of the flowers on the front as well. Here is a close-up:

Enjoy the video and have a great weekend!

I really like this stamp set and am so glad I went ahead and bought it. This card looks so peaceful. I liked the colours you used as well as the way you cut out some flowers to hide the overlap in the middle of your s stamping. The bottom heavy look really was very effective for this card too.

Love how you nestled the greeting in with the flowers, Darlene! Great job on the coloring, too. Thanks so much for sharing, and have a great weekend yourself! 😺 ~ Andrea

I’m a bit late viewing this one, but it’s such a pretty card I’m glad I didn’t miss out on seeing it come together. I really like the dimension and soft colouring. I’m struggling a bit with an idea for this challenge so am setting myself a goal for tomorrow to get one done. Thanks for the fab inspiration.

Beautiful card! Darlene, I notice that you stamp on your Stamp-a-ma-jig sheet in black. How do you get it fully clean with black ink? Mine seems to stain.

Hi ohiosnowflake. Actually, my sheet is very stained – I think it just doesn’t show on camera. When I get around to it, I clean it with Staz-on cleaner, which improves it quite a bit. Alcohol wipes also help, but not as well as the Staz-on cleaner.
