Bold Butterflies

Bold Butterflies

Hi All!

I decided that I didn’t have enough butterfly stamps. So, in my last crafty order, I purchased 2 new butterfly sets – Gerry’s butterflies is one of them (the other is Butterfly Kisses). I really like the frame in this set, and I also like how some of the butterflies are from the side view. I seriously researched every butterfly set to find the perfect ones. 🙂

This card is pretty simple – I used Copic markers to color the butterfly and was able to use a really light color to blend yellow and blue without creating too much (if any!) green. Here is a close-up:

Love how you colored the butterflies! Great composition, too, & I love your thought process as to the greeting placement. The black really makes the colors in the butterflies pop. I expect I’m going to need new glasses as well, since I’ve noticed my very-close-up vision isn’t what it used to be. But I’ll have to wait until my eye doctor appointment next month. Sigh! Anyway, hope you & your family have a great weekend! 😺 ~ Andrea

I just got finished saying I didn’t need any more butterfly stamps! Ha! I want it and I LOVE, LOVE the frame, can easily use it for other stamps. And this frame looks just like something you, Darlene would have drawn!! Happy weekend!

Welcome to the wonderful world of 4 eyes! LOL! The good news is that you can choose some really great looking frames and people think you’re more intelligent when you are wearing glasses (or that’s what I’ve been told). Butterfly cards are my weakness and this one is so simple and so effective. Thanks for introducing me to 49th and Market stamps too. I’ve vaguely heard of them before but now I will keep my eyes open in future when they come my way.
