Bird Banter Birthday

Bird Banter Birthday

Hi All!

Today I’m using the new Bird Banter set I got from Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Occasions catalog. Such a cute set! I used Copic markers to color the card and used my 0 Colorless blender to create some bird feather texture. Here is a close-up:

Bird Banter Birthday

I kept the letters very plain and simple so that it wouldn’t distract from my focal point (the bird).

Enjoy the video!

Darlene, your card is so cute. I’m delighted too that it uses both Bird Banter and Happy Celebrations which are the 2 stamps sets I just bought from Stampin Up. In fact, Bird Banter was my next set to use followed by Happy Celebrations. Thanks to you, I can now CASE your card and use them both together. Thanks a million. You made my day!

Funny how that works sometimes, Connie!

Great birthday card…would love to see another card using the bird set. I am considering purchasing it

Very cute card! And I love the lining up trick with the MISTI. I have used my MISTI for adhering my panels to card bases for awhile now and it has helped tremendously.

Beautiful card, and such a sense of colour without using a lot of colour.
The shading on the Happy is just enough contrast and the black border of the top and bottom
really tie it all together. Sometimes I forget about the ‘balance’ and wonder what I’ve done, but
this is a great example. Thanks for your creative inspiration.

Love how you colored the bird, Darlene, and added the texture to the body. I also like the design element of the black border at the top & bottom. It really is a nice finishing touch. I hope y’all are staying warm in this arctic chill we’ve been having! I know people up north are probably laughing at the way we basically shut everything down when we get a couple inches of snow and cold temperatures. Oh well! Anyway, thanks for the video! 😺 ~ Andrea

Ha! Ha! Could use some of your cold as we head for the 100s again here in Aussie and another heat wave with high humidity in our tropical Summer! Bundle up while we cool down!

Great card as always! I use your trick for lining up panels all the time. Thanks for all your inspiration Darlene!

I love this card but I don’t own any of the stamps. Do you know if Michelle would post to Australia? The Happy Celebrations set is AUD$61.00 and I can’t see how it justifies that price tag.

Hi Anita. Unfortunately, it’s against Stampin’ Up! policy for Michelle to sell outside the US. They are very strict, which is I guess how they are able to charge so much in Australia.

Oh, sure, I should have remembered that Darlene. Thanks for reminding me. I have ordered the bird banter set, so maybe I can replicate your card using different letters… need an extra dose of creativity!
