Basketweave Flower

Basketweave Flower

Hi All,

I decided to use my Basketweave Cutting Plate for today’s card, but instead of making a colorful weave like I did on this card, I made it completely white. It turned out to be such an elegant, textured background. Apparently the mainstream online stores aren’t selling this product anymore, but you can get it directly from Taylored Expressions.

I colored my flower and leaves with Zig markers. Here is a close-up:

Well, you’ve done it again, Darlene! This card is a real winner. Elegant is a good way to describe it too. For those LLC subscribers in Australia, you can pre-order this Taylored Expressions Basketweave die from Bizzy Becs for AU$28.76 (20% off) with free shipping, which is even less than they’re selling it in the US! i hope you too have a good weekend!

Love the card Darlene. Love the texture, colors and easy explanation. Wondering if the Garden in Bloom stamp set will retire with the new Stampin Up Catalog coming out soon. Regardless, I will be keeping it in my stash. Too many possibilities with this stamp set to give it up 😉

Love those colours, so crisp and vibrant and yet relaxing too.
Did you run over it with something sparkly? It kinda looks like
Some simmer in places. Lovely card

Hi Dayse. No shimmer. I think it’s my camera that is picking up the texture of the paper and making it seem shimmery.

Love the simplicity of this card. The basket weave and just the one flower is very effective. Thanks Darlene.

I love the CAS design! That’s something I don’t think I do very well. I always seem to have an “everything AND the kitchen sink” approach to card making! LOL But I like the look anyway. Great colors on the flower & leaves, too! 😺 ~ Andrea
