Onto some highlights… the first is by Mary Jane:
She achieved a dry embossed background effect by adhering white die cuts onto white cardstock. And because they are die cuts, she was able to highlight one with color. I love the look!
Next is this fabulous water scene by Linda:
Sometimes it’s hard to get a solid image on paper with ink on an embossing folder (which is why I prefer toilet paper!). But, as a water scene, it totally works – I love how it’s not perfectly solid – it adds to the waviness of the sea. Her fish are fantastic – metallic and glittery – and they are dry embossed too. Such a great card!
The next card I want to highlight is by mojo3356…
This card is the coolest masculine card! I don’t know how she did it, but it’s completely awesome. If you’re out there mojo, please share your technique!
Finally, this card by Dayse:
She layered two pieces of cardstock that are embossed with the same folder, then she cut the hearts out to reveal the duplicate embossing behind. Creative!!
Thank you again to everyone who uploaded their cards. I’ll be back shortly with the launch of the May Sketch Challenge – I’m very excited about this one!
