Hi All!
I’m a little bit on a flower binge right now! This card uses the Summer Garden set by Simon Says Stamp. The more I use my Zig watercolor pens, the more I like them. The colors are seriously so vibrant, especially for watercolor. Here is a close-up of the flowers and the black detail I added with a .05 liner:
On a different note, I am working on a Classified Ads section for the site. You will be able to post crafty items you want to sell and view items for sale by other members. I have the functionality mostly completed, but I’d like to release it to 5 members to review/test before I make it live to everyone. Do you want to be one of my guinea pigs? If so, I’ll take the first five people who email me. Thank you in advance!
Enjoy the video and have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Darlene, I loved the way you recovered the card each step of the way so that it all came together at the end. I also admired the way you were able to hold it together and keep your concentration even though one of your daughters was wanting you to go somewhere with her. You obviously have a great sense of concentration. Well done!
Jan
So pretty. Love the vibrant colors.

Hi Darlene,
I have seen a couple bloggers use Press ‘N Seal plastic wrap to pick up an arrangement of diecuts like you did with the masking tape. It works really well and it’s just one piece as opposed to the many pieces you needed. Jennifer McGuire’s husband invented Press ‘N Seal.

Hi Darlene. For the first time ever your videos aren’t coming through correctly. The last one I watched and this one keep stopping and don’t start up again unless I fiddle around with it. I’ve not done anything different and nothing has changed on my computer. Do you have any suggestions/ideas why this might be happening, or what I could do to try to make it stop happening?

This happens to me all the time when it isn’t recorded on YouTube. I have learned to pause it, move the viewing bar a tiny bit further, then click on play – it usually begins playing at the part it quit. You can tell when it is ready because the bar tuns back to black and then its all ok. Lots of times it is just slow in loading and the pauses are so irritating but when I think how much pleasure I get from watching these, I forget about the irritation. Hope this helps but it is the provider’s slowness, not Darlene and not your computer.

Thanks for your info. What you described is what I’ve had to do to get things moving. Since this is only the 2nd time that it’s happened I couldn’t help but wonder if it was something Darlene was doing differently because as I said, nothing has changed with my IPS (that I’m aware of) or my computer. I agree…her videos and techniques are awesome and well worth viewing, it just makes it a little more difficult with all the stopping and starting.

Thank you both for saying such nice things about my watching my videos! As far as your viewing problems, it could be a host of things. There are a lot of working pieces to the puzzle – video software, browser, operating system, etc. If you update any of these on your computer (and sometimes they update without you knowing), it could cause things to get out of balance. Sometimes one company adds something that another doesn’t yet support. Over time, it tends to work itself out.
It could also be your internet connection, especially if you are experiencing slowness. Sometimes resetting the connection will help. You can do this by refreshing the page and clicking play on the video again. You could also try to wait a few minutes for the video to load before playing. That way, you’re not continually trying to catch up with the buffering.
I haven’t made any changes on my end. I hope this helps!

Thanks for your reply. I’ll keep trying to fix things on my end including your suggestions, while you continue to make you awesome videos!

Love the card and the way you outlined the center circles of the flowers. I am always so thankful I found your site.

Lovely card. Love the colours you chose for the flowers and I am amazed at how the black really did make a spectacular difference on the flowers.

I’ve had this stamp set for awhile and haven’t used it yet and just got the zig pens. I love the coloring outside the die cut. Thanks for using goodies I already have but then it is because of you I have a lot of goodies.(especially Stampin up)

I’m really drawn to make a card inspired by this with almost neon colors. Love it!

This is so pretty Darlene. Thanks for using the zig markers again! I need all the inspiration I can get and this card is very inspiring. I’d love that stamp set!

Gorgeous card and great techniques. I would never have thought to use black pen!

Oh my gosh Darlene, love this card!!! the colors are so vibrant, they just pop out of the screen, so beautiful!!
I’ve been thinking of buying a set of Zig markers, every time you use them I’m so impressed with the beautiful colors.
I also noticed that the tip of the markers seem to be made out of bristles? they don’t look like the typical marker, I think I see bristles like the ones on a Wink of Stella brush, just wondering.
Anyway, what a great tip about how to pick up your design of die cuts with this sticky paper, believe it or not, sometimes what I do is take a picture to re assemble the design later, LOL!! I like your idea better.
Thank you for another fabulous and fun to watch video.
Hugs,
Maria Rodriguez.

Hi Darlene, I’ve seen you use this technique before and it is simply marvelous the way it works. I used to spend so much time trying to recreate that I would lose interest after a while. Thanks for reminding us. Love your videos and it’s always happy mail when I get the e-mail for one of your videos. Can’t wait for your craft room video.
Blessings to you
