A Peaceful Night

A Peaceful Night

Hi All!

I’m using the City Stacks set again, but this time for a holiday card. You can see this set used on this card and this card. It’s such a great set!

I colored the homes very lightly with Inktense Pencils. I wanted them to be bright against the dark background. Here is a close-up:

This is a really beautiful card, Darlene. I had to have City Stacks and I’ve yet to use it. I was going to wait until after I’d made all my Christmas cards. But now I have no excuse but to use it right away to CAS your Christmas card. Thanks as always for the inspiration!

You’re right–this is such a peaceful scene. I love the splattered stars (or snowflakes?). I also really like how you kept the colors on the houses muted & to a minimum. It gives them interest & marks them as the focal point, but they don’t scream, “Look at US!!!” Thanks so much for sharing! 🐱 ~ Andrea

What a wonderful card. Your ink blending and splatters are great. I’ve not heard anything about a Christmas card exchange this year and was hoping I didn’t somehow miss a notice. Looking forward to your next card!–Peggy

Oh my goodness Darlene, that night sky you created is absolutely gorgeous, your blending is simply amazing, love how you did the stars, what a great technique.
I’m glad you didn’t put any sentiment on the front of the card, the little houses, colored so softly speak volumes.
Thank you for sharing and for another fantastic video.

PS. Margaret Ashworth reminded me about the Christmas card exchange, I also hope I didn’t miss the announcement.
