Hi All,
Today I used the new Totally Trees set by Stampin’ Up! With a mostly stamped card like this, colors are really important. Although you might not think to do it, adding a neutral color to the mix really helps to complement the other colors. I used Smoky Slate on this card, and Crumb Cake is another good color to use.
I slanted my Wonky Windows for something a little different. I like how unique these dies are. I used both the small and larges ones on THIS CARD.
Enjoy the video!

Your perfectionism kills me! 🙂 Glad I’m not the only OCD cardmaker out there. I love your windows and the whole Frank Lloyd Wright look of this card. Thanks for sharing!!

I love how honest Darlene is about that. A lot of us have those tendencies too but it helps when you can “normalize” it and even tease yourself about it. It’s not just your AMAZING talent that keeps every one of us tuned in Darlene, it’s also your kind, caring demeanour and authenticity.

When I saw this card, I knew that it had to have been designed by you. Darlene, it is totally unique in every way – the colours you chose, the layout, simply everything. However do you come up with these clever ideas consistently?! That’s what I’d like to know.

Love the card. You are amazingly talented.

Love the wonky windows and thanks for showing another way to us the die!

Very quiet card. I like how it is crisp while having a softness about it. Maybe it’s the gray. Classy card there.

Nice card. I have to giggle, though. The windows are wonky, but everything else is precise. Unfortunately, I’m not good at precision.

Great card design, Darlene! I totally agree about using that neutral with your colors, I probably would not have thought of that. Turned out beautifully!!

Fun card! I like the wonky with the precise! And I love my Zig 2-way glue pen! Use it all the time!

Love this card and the colour combination is magic. I think I am going to have to buy the Totally Trees stamp set. I already have wonky windows. Yet another great video. Thanks Darlene.

Amazing card and agree with all the comments above

This is one classy card even though it is on the wonky side! Thank you for the tip about the perfect x in the middle and right angles. I really like that stamp set. Lots of possibilities.

I am so happy you used the wonky windows in this card! I just received an Ellen Hutson order with this die set and had thought, when I ordered it, this die set cut out a frame…I didn’t realize it just cut the center out and the stitched lines until I got it two days ago.. Now I have an idea how to use it! Of course, I now want the tree stamp set too……
