50 Notes in 10 Minutes and GIVEAWAY!

Lunch Notes

Okay, maybe the actual time is longer than 10 minutes, but that’s how long it took in the video. 🙂

These notes were quick and easy. Personally, I am using them primarily as lunch notes for my daughter, Courtney, but I am also using some as gift tags. There are lots of other uses for something like this – party favor tags, place cards, tooth fairy notes, secret notes for your loved one, etc. Here is the die set I used, since I forgot to show you at the beginning of the video:

Lunch Notes

So how long did it actually take? I worked on these over 2-3 days whenever I had some time to squeeze them in (it was a very enjoyable light-on-the-brain project). Probably around 2 hours? Not bad for 50 cards. It’s hard to see in the picture, but the colors are bright and cheerful – they are just super-happy cards. Here are close-ups for some of them:

Lunch Notes

Lunch Notes

I used up a lot of my colored cardstock scraps, so that was a bonus. At the end of the video, I showed the secret to successful lunch notes… the best kid jokes ever. THIS BOOK is fantastic.

Interestingly enough, the notes Courtney has enjoyed the most this year are the ones with the Words of Truth stamp set. Sadly, this set is about to retire. I figured I would make some of those while I was on a roll:

Lunch Notes

Again, I used up my colored cardstock scraps. The cards measure 4 1/4″ x 2 1/8″.

Finally… would you like to win a Lunch Box Notes die set? Funny story – I asked for this die set for Christmas last year. When I didn’t get it, I bought it myself. Six months later, my husband hands it to me and says, “Here. I found this in my drawer.” Apparently he bought it and forgot about it. So, I have an extra set to share!! Leave a comment on this post by next Friday, May 27th, 11:59pm CT to enter a chance to win. Good luck and enjoy the video!

Your husband and I have something in common i tend to forget about gifts that
I buy too far ahead and put out of sight. Bonus for the person intend them for. They usually end up with two gifts once I find it.
